ABOUT
Sentilla Hawley (she/her) is a proud member of the Kenaitze Tribe. She brings a unique perspective to the communications field, blending artistry and advocacy with a steadfast commitment to social justice. Grounded in an intersectional approach, her work ensures inclusivity, authenticity, and representation, using marketing as a tool to empower communities and amplify underrepresented voices.
As the Marketing Manager at the Center for Women's Leadership, she led a comprehensive rebranding initiative for the NLO program, developing a cohesive identity across all programming, promotions, and events. Now managing Communications at Verde, an environmental justice nonprofit, she engages directly with the community to advance environmental wealth by translating complex information into accessible, compelling content. Through strategic storytelling and outreach, she fosters dialogue on environmental justice, expands access to critical resources, and empowers communities with the knowledge to take action.
Sentilla holds a dual bachelor's degree in Communications and Liberal Studies from Portland State University, specializing in Women’s Studies and Advertising Management. Her creative approach and deep understanding of audience engagement allow her to anticipate trends, adapt to evolving digital landscapes, and craft marketing strategies that resonate. Passionate about driving positive change, she is dedicated to using the power of communication to strengthen community voices and build a more just and sustainable future.
